
Elevate: A Pursuit of Fair Fashion : It’s Fashion Revolution Week through Sunday, and there are lots of ways to get involved, from signing a nation-wide pledge , to attending one of the many local events . This particular panel explores the idea that everyone can enjoy their love of fashion while minimizing the destruction of the planet, both on a human and environmental level. Panellists include Jennifer McConaghy of Life Preloved; Claire Theaker-Brown of Unbelts; Kyla Kazeil of Bamboo Ballroom; Justine Barber of Poppy Barley; Wedad Amiri of Afflatus Hijab; and Andrea Beça of Andrea Beça Work. The event also includes a pop-up marketplace full of conscientious local talent, and stylist Shelby Varaghese will talk about cost effective ways to build a sustainable wardrobe.

Landscape at Edmonton Poetry Festival : Pictures and words, swirling around each other! Poets and visual artists come together in an evening of live-painting inspired by the poetry. Each prominent poet is paired with an artist who will seek to capture the essences of the words on their canvases. Poets Dwennimen, Doyali Islam, Liam Coady, Claire Kelly and Megan Dart are brought together with visual artists Rebecca Pickard, Adriana Onita, Alyson Davies, Lindsay Knox, and Hilary Mussell.

CatVideoFest (2019) : CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and, of course, classic internet powerhouses. CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theatres, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local animal welfare organizations to best serve cats in the area.
